Who said that loosing the plot is not good sometimes? Spinda Records was founded by music fan Berto Cáceres as an independent label based in La Línea (South of Spain) in November 2017. Since then, the goal has been always to help the underground bands we love to keep making noise, and here we are a few years later trying to do the same.
Our music taste is constantly evolving and that’s why we do not say no to anything; if it rocks, it rocks – as simple as that! From psychedelia to alternative rock, from progressive rock to noise, from folk to post-hardcore, from shoegaze to heavy blues… these are just examples of what we like and what you’ll find here.
Over the years we have worked on new releases hand-in-hand together with some of the most exciting Spanish underground bands such as Moura, Lunavieja, Cró!, Habitar La Mar or Acid Mess; but also on reissues of classic albums by Viaje a 800, RIP KC or Electric Riders. In 2021 we became “official bootlegers” of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard putting out some of their recent albums since then. 2023 will be the year when some international acts will be joining our family for the very first time and we’re super excited!
In 2019 Spindafest and Spinda Sessions came in different locations in Spain. Curated to showcase bands signed to the label but also local talent, it attracted artists including Viaje a 800, Bourbon, Grajo, Híbrido, Rosy Finch, Maragda, Battosai, Plastic Woods, Saturna and many more. Although we are not bookers at Spinda Records, we always try to get our bands playing at some cool places, including Sonic Blast Fest, Monkey Week, Barcelona Psych Fest, Resurrection Fest or Tabernas Desert Rock Fest.
