The Prussians

Procedentes de la paradisíaca isla de Mallorca, llega el el indie-rock de The Prussians (Dominic Massó, Tino Lucena, Ferchu Vallejo, Juan David Ayora y Pau Enric Serra). Una rocambolesca coincidencia de orígenes e influencias de artistas como Glass Animals, The XX o Alt J, que desemboca en un sonido comparable al de Half Moon Run o Foals. Un combo ganador: guitarras oscuras y distorsiones al servicio del baile. Atmósferas horadadas por una maquinaria rítmica comandada por el exuberante torrente de su líder. Todo ello acompañado de toques electrónicos que estimulan y evocan la intensidad que caracteriza a la banda.

Con dos EP’s (The Hills, 2013 y Kerala, 2016) y su álbum debut (Mul Mul, 2014), la banda culmina años de quemar las tablas de numerosos escenarios con Karma. “Toda acción tiene una fuerza dinámica que se expresa e influye en las sucesivas existencias del individuo”. Saber si realmente influye en nosotros es la pregunta que se hacen a lo largo de las dos caras del álbum (“A Side” y “B Side”). Una interpretación muy íntima de las relaciones interpersonales y del ser humano, en definitiva.

The Prussians es sinónimo de “crecimiento sin límite”. Algo que les ha permitido llegar a abrir el DJ Set de Franz Ferdinand en Razzmatazz (Barcelona) y los conciertos de We Are Scientist, Kaiser Chiefs o Los Planetas. Han llamado la atención de medios como Radio3 y festivales como Ebrovisión, Sonorama y Arenal Sound desde la publicación de su primera maqueta. En septiembre de 2018 la banda actúa por primera vez a nivel internacional, siendo el festival Live at Heart (Suecia) quien les da la oportunidad.

From the island of Mallorca, indie five-piece alternative indie rock band The Prussians (Dominic Massó, Tino Lucena, Ferchu Vallejo, Juan David Ayora y Pau Enric Serra) are here to entertain unleashing music drizzled with grit, drama and driving guitars. Their sound can be compared to that of Half Moon Run and Foals with epic lyrics and vocal and a rock baseline. And their main influences are other artists such as Glass Animals, Balthazar, RY X, The XX and Alt J.

The band have previously released EP’s (The Hills, 2013 & Kerala, 2016) and debut LP (Mul Mul, 2014). On 21st September will release a brand new 12 track album that will demonstrate to listeners the bands evolution, entitled “Karma” – “the universal principle of cause and effect. Our actions, both good and bad, come back to us in the future, helping us to learn from life’s lessons and become better people”. The message behind the music is based on whether this has a role on life or not. Many of their new songs are based on interpersonal relations and the relationship with the world and performed in a very delicate and sensitive way.

The Prussians are a sign of non stop growth and evolution as a band that has allowed them to open for DJ Set of Franz Ferdinand at the Razzmatazz (Barcelona) and perform with acts such as We are Scientists, Kaiser Chiefs and Los Planetas. Media, such as Radio3, has also kept a close eye on their progress as well as promotores counting on the band in key festivales such as Ebrovisión, Sonorama y Arenal Sound.

The band debuted their new music live in the showcases at Live at Heart, the band first time playing outside of Spain. This kicked off their 6 city tour in Spain with more dates to announce before the end of the year. They were also invited to perform a showcase at BIME Pro in Bilbao.
